In partnership with NC Counts, 35 students at Saint Augustine’s University actively participated in the North Carolina Post Card Census Project, sending over 5,000 text messages to promote census participation in 2020. Their dedicated efforts significantly bolstered outreach and engagement in underrepresented communities across North Carolina, ensuring greater accuracy in population counts crucial for equitable resource allocation and political representation.
